Not only is this my biggest event of the year, but I will have the first copies of my NEW BOOK, Albatross and the Rubbish. I’m super excited about Albatross’s story and I can’t wait for you to read it.
I will be on hand to sign your book, or maybe you’d like a special greetings card or mug, to gift a friend or relative? I will have a limited number of giclee prints available featuring characters from my books, and you may also be lucky enough to find the occasional wildlife print for sale.

Meet Local Children’s Authors - Enjoy Storytelling Sessions - Craft activities - Hedgehog Competition - Book Trail
Throughout March, 24 shops will display a children's book character in their window and guess what… Hedgehog is one of them, among an exciting array of truly awesome, famous book characters!
Children can pick up an entry form from Ross Library, from one of the participating shops, or download one here, and they must search the town for all of the characters.
Once the sheet is completed, pop your child's name on the sheet and return it to Ross Library, where it will be entered into a draw to win a £10 book voucher and a fluffy hedgehog toy!
So, put this date in your diary, happy hunting, and I’ll see you at the event!

Wild Hearts, Gentle Stories -An exhibition of watercolour paintings and picture book illustrations.
Wild Hearts, Gentle Stories brings together original watercolours, picture book illustrations, and wildlife studies that celebrate the beauty and vulnerability of the natural world.
As a children’s author and illustrator, I create stories for the very youngest readers — introducing them to endangered and often misunderstood animals through warmth, colour, and emotional connection. My work is rooted in the belief that children protect what they love. By presenting these animals with dignity, richness, and gentle storytelling, I hope to nurture empathy from the very beginning.
Working primarily in watercolour, layer-by-layer, colour builds into detailed, expressive portraits that allow young viewers to meet each animal face-to-face. Alongside my books and wildlife paintings, giclée prints, greetings cards, and bone china mugs extend my book characters into everyday life — little reminders that the wild is not separate from us, but part of our shared story.
Opening my home studio, I invite young and old into the space where these stories begin — among sketchbooks, pigments, and works in progress — a place where wild hearts are painted gently into being.
